CGF is a fundraising organisation devoted to helping, supporting and enriching the lives of those stricken by poverty in the Philippines. We exist to provide a constant financial support to community projects in severely deprived regions of the Philippines.

CGF was set up in 2005 following a visit to Antipolo, a region just outside of the capital, Manila. During the visit, a few members of (the not yet established) CGF team attended the official opening of the newly constructed City Gates Academy (CGA). CGA is a first-rate school in Antipolo that provides free schooling solely for severely underprivileged children.

The visit to the Academy spurred the beginnings of the fundraising team. Having witnessed the conditions in which the CGA pupils and their families lived, the founding members of CGF were moved to action. On their return to the UK, a team was assembled with the sole objective of providing a constant financial support to the Academy.
